Who is Jesse James?

Born in April of 1969, Jesse Gregory James is an American television personality and CEO of the popular West Coast Choppers—a company that produces and manufacturers custom-made motorcycles. James’ popularty grew in the early 2000s when he was the host of Monster Garage and Jesse James is a Dead Man—two reality television shows that aired on Spike TV. In addition to these shows, Jesse James also starred in another reality show, Monster Garage, which aired on the Discovery Channel, and focused on his profession of constructing specialized motorcycles and choppers.

Jesse James’ career seemingly began when he worked as the bodyguard for numerous heavy metal rock bands such as “Slayer” and “Soundgarden.” While working in the media and entertainment industry, James developed friendships with a variety of influential people. James’ parlayed his knowledge and connections by opening West Coast Choppers in his mother’s garage in 1992. The company grew at rapid rates and quickly moved to a larger facility to service his newfound and famous clientele. When James’ business boomed he garnered the attention of the aforementioned media stations; in 2000, the Discovery Channel made a documentary which chronicled James’ life. Following the success of the documentary, James’ television career quickly took off. Although James was enjoying great success, his rock-star personality ultimately proved damaging to some of his loved ones.

Jesse James Scandal:

The Jesse James scandal revolves around his former marriage, with American Actress, Sandra Bullock. In March 2010, the Jesse James scandal broke when several women claimed to have had sexual encounters and affairs with James during his marriage to Bullock. In response to the allegations, Bullock canceled various promotional appearances, citing “unforeseen personal reasons.” On March 18, 2010 James responded to the infidelity allegations, by publicly apologizing to Bullock—James declared that he was to blame for the scandal and asked his wife and children forgive him for what the pain and embarrassment he caused them. Following the public apology, Jesse James checked into a rehab facility to deal with various personal issues and to save his marriage.

Although the attempt to better himself seemed genuine, Bullock filed for divorce on April 28, 2010. The Jesse James scandal grew into a conflagration, as Kat Von D, a famous tattoo artist and television personality, confirmed media reports that she and James were involved in a romantic relationship. Following this statement, James announced his engagement to Von D on January 20 of 2011.

Aside from the Jesse James scandal, the television personality has had other controversies and run-ins with the law. In 2007, James was fined over $270,000 by the California Air Resources Board after officials determined that James had sold motorcycles in violation of the state’s clean-air laws. According to various police reports, James was found guilty of selling customized bikes that emitted 10 times the legal limits of hydrocarbons into the Earth’s atmosphere.

Who is Joe Scarborough?

Charles “Joe” Scarborough is an American Talk Radio and Cable news host, as well as an author and former politician. Scarborough currently hosts the MSNBC morning show, Morning Joe. Scarborough formerly served in the United States House of Representatives for a six year term, from 1995 to 2001, as a Republican from the 1st district of Florida. Into his fourth term as congressman; however, Scarborough announced his desire to spend more time with his children; the resignation came five months into his fourth term in Congress. In addition to this somewhat unexpected resignation, Scarborough was at the forefront of a fairly bizarre scandal in the same year.

Joe Scarborough Scandal:

On July 20 of 2001, Joe Scarborough’s constituent services coordinator, Lori Klausutis, a 28 year old, died after striking her head on Scarborough’s desk. Klausutis fatal injury occurred when the young woman fainted and struck her head, while she was alone in Scarborough’s Fort Walton Beach, Florida office. According to the former congressman, following reports of the young woman’s death, widespread allegations were attached to Scarborough for precipitating the death or being directly involved in it.

Although there was no evidence that linked the former congressmen to the death of the young employee, the Scarborough scandal picked up intensity, when in 2003, Scarborough made some ill-advised jokes and comments about the incident with Don Imus. In the upcoming years, the Joe Scarborough scandal did not directly revolve the allegations that the former congressman was responsible for the death, but around his distasteful comments concerning the incident. Throughout 2004, the Joe Scarborough scandal was the subject of a public dispute between the former congressman and infamous filmmaker Michael Moore. Since this time, a few employees of MSNBC have been terminated for mentioning the Joe Scarborough scandal on air or through their respective Twitter feeds. Scarborough was never formally charged for the incident, nor was he investigated; Joe Scarborough was not around during the time of the death and post-humorous studies on the young girl’s body found that her fainting spell and the blow to the head was the true cause of death.

Who is John Lennon?

Born October 9, 1940 John Lennon was an English musician and songwriter who rose to fame for his role in the wildly successful and critically acclaimed rock band, The Beatles. Along with lead singer, Paul McCartney, John Lennon farmed arguably the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century.

John Lennon was born and raised in Liverpool, England. The Beatles evolved from Lennon’s first band, the Quarrymen—a high school band that was formed when Lennon was just 15 years of age. Lennon eventually met McCartney at the Quarrymen’s second performance, held in St. Peter’s Church in Woolton, England. When the two met, they recruited other members to eventually form one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed musical groups in history.

John Lennon’s Death:

At roughly 10:50 PM on December 8, 1980, as John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, who were returning to their New York City apartment in The Dakota, mark David Chapman shot and killed Lennon. Chapman fired four bullets, each hitting Lennon’s back, at the entrance to the star’s apartment. Following the shooting, Lennon was rushed to the emergency room at nearby Roosevelt Hospital—the legend was pronounced dead on arrival at 1:07 P.M.

Before Chapman had savagely gunned down John Lennon, the Beatle’s star had autographed Chapman’s copy of one of the Beatle’s albums—Double Fantasy. There was no funeral held for John Lennon, instead he was cremated at Ferncliff Cemetery in Harsdae, New York. His Wife, Ono, scattered his ashes in New York’s Central Park—the Strawberry Fields memorial, which is dedicated to the life and art of John Lennon, stands where Lennon’s ashes were spread.

John Lennon’s Killer: Mark David Chapman:

Mark David Chapman, born May 10, 1955, is currently in prison for murdering former Beatles member John Lennon. After firing five shots at the beloved musician, four of which struck Lennon, Chapman remained at the crime scene until he was arrested by police—Chapman plead guilty to the crime. For the murder, Chapman was sentenced to a prison term of twenty years to life—Chapman is currently imprisoned at the Attica Correctional Facility in Attica, New York. Chapman, who has been denied parole six times, was motivated to carry-out the horrendous act after seeing the film Ordinary People. Knowing of his perversions, Chapman made appointments with clinical psychologists, in hopes of refraining from the murder. Instead of engaging in help, Chapman flew to New York where is maniacal streak invariably had taken over.

Mark David Chapman was charged with second degree murder for killing John Lennon. Following his arrest, Chapman was taken to Bellevue Hospital for psychiatric examination. The conclusion revealed that while Chapman was delusional, he was still competent to stand trial. Ultimately, Chapman’s of insanity was not accepted, for the judge ordered that Chapman receive psychiatric treatment during his lengthy prison stay. 

Who is Matt Lauer?
Born December 30, 1957 Matt Lauer is an American Television personality, best known for his role as the host of NBC’s The Today Show. Prior to this role, Lauer was a journalist, a news anchor in New York and the host of various local talk-shows. Lauer was born in New York, New York and is of Romanian descent. During his youth, his parents divorced—his father later died in 1997.

Lauer became the co-host of The Today Show when he replaced Bryan Gumbel in 1997—shortly after the passing away of his father. The series, led by Lauer and cohost Katie Couric, turned out to be a hit and Lauer quickly was propelled into the upper crust of television personalities. Lauer, during his time as a local television host, was married from 1982 until 1989 to, Nancy Alspaugh, a television producer. The marriage ultimately ended in divorce and from 1989 to 1996 Matt Lauer dated Kristen Gesswein—an attract television news anchor. The two were briefly engaged, but the relationship ultimately dissolved. In 1998, Matt Lauer then married a Dutch model, named Annette Roque, who commonly went by her model name “Jade.” Lauer and his relationship with Roque was somewhat tumultuous; although their personal life was ultimately kept private numerous reports claimed that the couple was always on the verge of collapsing. Matt Lauer and Roque have three children together; the youngest was born in 2006; however, during this pregnancy, the couple separated. Roque officially filed for divorce in Manhattan’s Supreme Court on September 13, 2006. Although the divorce was finalized, the couple has since reconciled.
Matt Lauer Affair:
According to various tabloids in the United States, Matt Lauer’s 11-year marriage with Roque was sidetracked due to an Matt Lauer’s affair. This story, which was vehemently pursued by the National Inquirer—a popular tabloid in the United States—has been debunked by respected media outlets and those close to the host of The Today Show. Lauer himself has repeatedly denied the allegations and cited personal problems for the couple’s marital problems. That being said, the two have worked-out their issues and remain married. The two have three children, ages eight, six and two together.

Larry King’s Laundry List of Wives:

Larry King, born in November of 1933, is a successful American Television and Radio Host. Throughout his life, King has been married a total of eight times, to seven different women. His first marriage, which occurred in 1951, when he was just 18 years of age, was to his high-school sweetheart, Freda Miller. This marriage ended the following year, when Miller’s parents had the marriage formally annulled. King then briefly married Annette Kaye; the couple gave birth to King’s first son, Larry King Jr., in November of 1961—King did not meet his son until Jr. was in his thirties. In 1961, King married his third wife, former Playboy bunny, Alene Aikins. The couple had one son, Andy, and then divorced the following year. Shortly after this divorce, King married his fourth wife, Mary Francis Sutphin, who ultimately cut ties with King a few months after the marriage. King then remarried Akins, with whom he had a second child, Chaia in 1969. The couple divorced a second time in 1972. In 1976, King married his fifth wife, who he remained married to until 1983. In the summer of 1989, while on his first date with Sharon Lepore, King engaged to his eventual sixth wife. The couple divorced in 1992. King, in 1995, then married actress Deanna Lundi, after only five weeks of dating—fortunately for both parties, the couple never married. King’s latest and seventh wife, Shawn Southwick (former singer and Television host) was perhaps the most heated and controversial of King’s 7 divorces.

Larry King married Shawn Southwick in 2000 in King’s Los Angeles hospital room, three days before King underwent heart surgery. Together, the couple has two children, Chance and cannon. The Larry King divorce to Southwick was finalized in 2010, which ended the 10 year marriage between Larry King and Shawn Southwick.

Although divorce was clearly not uncommon for the television giant, rumors swirled regarding the breakup between Southwick and King. For several years, various media outlets and publications reported that King’s marriage dissolved as a result of King’s infidelity—with Southwick’s sister. King, who has denied these rumors, was investigated for purchasing over $160,000 of Cartier jewelry—none of which was given to his wife. Although King’s expected infidelity was rumored to be the main reason for the dissolution, Southwick admitted to having an affair with their son’s youth basketball coach.  In addition to the suspected cheating, the couple shared many religious and political differences that ultimately stirred-up controversy.

The Terms and Conditions of the Larry King divorce:

Prior to the divorce filing, Larry King transferred three homes to Southwick—these gifts were given as a sign of good faith. These homes, which are currently in Shawne’s name, are currently being fought over in a California divorce court. Although California is a no-fault divorce state, there is a possibility that the embarrassing affair rumors could potentially impact the settlement. In addition to the numerous assets, including the three homes, the couple is fighting over custody of the Chance and Cannon. King, who filed the divorce papers, is seeking shared custody of the couple’s two sons. King is pleading with the court to deny his wife her requested sole custody of the kids, visitation for king, plus spousal support.

Who is Plaxico Burress?

Plaxico Burress is a wide receiver who has played professionally for the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants. At 6’5, Burress was one of the game’s largest receivers. Burress was highly skilled and instrumental in bringing the Super Bowl trophy to New York. Burress is currently serving a two-year prison sentence following a guilty plea to a weapons charge. With good behavior figured into the sentence, Plaxico Burress release date will most likely be trimmed to 20 months, making the former star eligible for release in early 2011.

Plaxico Burress’ Legal Troubles:

Plaxico Burress first faced legal troubles in September of 2008, when Totowa (New Jersey) police responded to two domestic disturbance calls at the receiver’s household. Both notifications resulted in the issuance of temporary restraining orders—these orders were later dismissed by state court.

The crushing blow to Burress stemmed from an incident that took place on Friday, November 28 of 2008. On this date, Burress suffered an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to his right thigh when a pistol he was carrying went-off in LQ—a popular New York City nightclub. Burress’ Glock pistol, which was tucked in the waistband of his sweatpants, began to slide down his leg; when Burress reached for the weapon he inadvertently depressed the trigger, causing the gun to fire into his thigh. The injury was not life-threatening; however, the following Monday, Burress was forced to turn himself into the authorities to face criminal charges for possession of a handgun. Mayor Michael Bloomberg urged the court system to prosecute Burress to the fullest extent of the law, claiming that any punishment short of 3 and a half years for the unlawful carrying of a handgun in New York City would be a “mockery of the law”. The weapon was viewed as illegal because Burress’ concealed carry license, which was issued in Florida, was not only expired, but deemed illegal in New York City.

On December 2, 2008 Burress posted a bail of $100,000; later in the same day he was told by his team, the New York Giants, that he was to be suspended, without pay, for the remainder of the 2008 season.

On December 23, 2008, a search of the wide receiver’s home, initiated by the Totowa Police Department revealed a 9 mm handgun, a rifle, ammunition and clothing worn by Burress on the night of the accidental shooting. On July 29, 2009 the receiver was officially tried and asked the Manhattan grand jury for sympathy during the two hour testimony. On Monday, August 3, 2009, prosecutors announced the official indictment of the star wide receiver. He received two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and a single count of reckless endangerment—both charges are classified as felonies in New York City. On August 20 of the same year, Plaxico Burress accepted a plea deal that would put the receiver in prison for two years with an additional two years of supervised release. Burress was sentenced on September 22, 2009 and Plaxico Burress is scheduled to be released from prison on on June 6 of 2011.

Who is Erin Andrews?

Born May 4, 1978 Erin Andrews is a popular American sportscaster who has parlayed her successful career at ESPN into numerous side projects, including a sting on “Dancing with the Stars” and various endorsement deals. Andrews is particularly popular among male sports fans for her beauty—Andrews was voted “America’s Sexiest Sportscaster” by numerous publications, including Playboy magazine.

Andrew’s career began at FSN Florida, where the future broadcaster worked as a freelance reporter. In 2001, Andrews moved to the Sunshine Network where she served as a reporter for the NHL franchise, the Tampa Bay Lightning. In 2002, Andrews moved to a studio host role and part-time reporter for Tuner Sports, a position that enabled her to cover the majority of professional sport franchises in Atlanta, Georgia. In May of 2004, Andrews was hired by ESPN, where she became a reporter for ESPN’s National Hockey League coverage. Since this stint, she has served as the channel’s premiere sideline reporter for college football and college basketball. Her job has also expanded to Major League Baseball.

Erin Andrews Peephole Scandal:

On July 16, 2009, a video posted online that hinted that the naked blind woman featured in the short clip was Erin Andrews. The video was shot through a peephole in Andrew’s hotel room; the video showed Andrew’s changing and curling hair while unclothed in front of a mirror. After the video was posted online, Andrews authorized that her attorney issue a statement verifying that she was the woman in the peephole video and that the video was made without her knowledge nor consent. The video was instantly removed from all websites that had posted it and a subsequent investigation was launched.

Andrews described the situation as “a living nightmare” and was reticent to discuss the legal guidelines which enshrouded the situation. On October 2 of 2009 the FBI arrested David Barrett, a 47 year old divorced father from Chicago. Barret was charged with interstate stalking for filming Andres changing and subsequently posting them online; Barrett was also charged because he tried to sell them to various websites and media outlets. FBI agents ultimately matched information in emails written by Barrett. On December 15 of 2009, Barrett pleaded guilty for his role in the incident and to the interstate stalking charges. For this felony he was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison and was ordered to register as a sex offender.

Who was Gary Coleman?

Born February 8, 1968 Gary Coleman was an American actor, who was best known for his childhood role as Arnold Jackson in the hit sitcom Different Strokes (aired from 1978-1986). Coleman, who was recognized for his small stature as an adult, was described as one of the 80’s most promising stars. Coleman earned praise and admiration from critics and the general public alike for his quick-witted humor and various catchphrases. Following a successfully childhood acting career; however, Coleman struggled financially and emotionally later in life.

Gary Coleman’s Financial and Legal Troubles:

In 1993, Coleman in a television interview admitted that he had attempted to kill himself on multiple occasions by overdosing on pills. While struggling with finances and his inability to lock-down an acting position, Coleman moved from Los Angeles to a small town in Utah in 2005. Coleman remained in Utah until his tragic passing. The latter stages of Coleman’s life were marred in depression and appearances low-budget films or television shows. In the early part of 2007, Coleman married a struggling actress; on May 1 of 2008, the two made a well-publicized appearance on the reality television show Divorce Court to air-out their differences in a media attempt to save their marriage. This plan ultimately backfired as the couple divorced later that year and Coleman was never offered any sort of sustainable job following the appearance. The couple, who cited irreconcilable differences as the means to divorce, remained living together until the Gary Coleman death.

Gary Coleman Death:

Very few details of Coleman’s medical history and conditions have been made public. The actor’s short stature (Coleman was only 4 feet, 8 inches tall) stemmed from congenital autoimmune kidney disease and the treatment needed to curtail the condition. As a result of this disease, Coleman underwent multiple kidney transplants early in his life. In 2009, Coleman underwent heart surgery (details of the operation were never made public) and developed pneumonia postoperatively. Following the surgery, Coleman was hospitalized in January of 2010 after the former child star had developed a seizure. The following month Coleman, whose health was deteriorating, suffered another seizure while on the set of The Insider television program.

On May 26, 2010 Coleman was admitted to the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah after the comic star had fallen down a flight of stairs in his home. The fall, which was possibly caused by another seizure, resulted in a serious head injury. By mid-afternoon on the following day, Gary Coleman was on life support; the actor died at 12:05 on May 28.

The couple, who was married for 17 years, officially filed for divorce on November 23, 2010—the divorce was filed by Ann Lopez.

Halle Berry’s Personal Life:

The star actress has been married twice; her first marriage was to former baseball star, David Justice. Berry and Justice married after midnight on January 1, 19993—the couple separated just 4 years later in 1997. The couple, who maintains a healthy relationship, ended their marriage as a result of their fame. The celebrity simply got too difficult to manage. Following the divorce to Justice, Berry married musician Eric Benet. The two met in 1997, shortly following Berry’s first divorce, and married in early 2001 in Santa Barbara. While the couple was together they adopted a girl from India; the marriage dissolved in 2003 and the couple officially separated in 2005.

Following the divorce to Benet, Berry began dating French-Canadian supermodel Gabriel Aubry, who is nine years younger than Berry. In September of 2007, Berry announced that she was three months pregnant; on March 16, 2008 Berry gave birth to a girl named Nahla Aubry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Halle Berry Custody Dispute:

When the couple split-up, they worked out a financial and 50/50 custody split with a family lawyer; however, TMZ, the popular gossip website and show, reported that the legal proceedings were not finalized. Aubry eventually filed documents with the Los Angeles Superior Court on December 30, 2010, pleading the court to formally recognize his paternity and grant a court order giving him and Berry physical and legal custody over their daughter. On January 31, 2011 Berry’s publicist told People magazine that the actress ad serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her.” The publicist also claimed that Berry “has attempted to resolve her custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek judicial intervention. The battle, since these comments, has waged on, as Aubry has stated his displeasure in Berry’s comments, claiming she has misrepresented him. The two are currently involved in a custody battle over custody of their child—Berry wants full custody while Aubry is asking for a 50/50 split.
