On July 14, 2009, the Internal Revenue Service filed documents in connection with a federal tax lien against property owned by Cage in New Orleans, Louisiana concerning Cage’s unpaid federal taxes. The Internal Revenue Service alleged that Cage failed to pay over $6 million dollars in federal income tax for the 2007 taxable year. Furthermore, the Internal Revenue Service placed an additional lien of more than $350,000 in unpaid taxes, which dated from 2002 to 2004. In response to these liens, Cage filed a $20 million lawsuit, filed on October 16, 2009, against his business manager, Samuel Levin, claiming that Levin had failed to pay taxes when they were due and had placed Cage in risky real estate investments. Cage, who claimed his manager acted in severe negligence and fraudulent activities, is also facing separate lawsuits from Red Curb and East West Bank Investments for unpaid multimillion dollar loans.

In response to the suit filed against him, Levin filed a counter-complaint and responded by stating that he warned Cage that the actor was living beyond his means and urged him to spend less. Levin claimed that he advised Cage to forego his 15 real-estate purchases, his Gulfstream jet, a fleet of yachts, a squadron of Rolls Royces and to refrain from buying millions of dollars in jewelry and art. Although Cage remains one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors, earning more than $40 million per year, the star’s financial problems have raised concerns, especially in this economic environment.

Nicolas Cage Arrest:

On April 15, 2011, Nicolas Cage was arrested in New Orleans for suspicion of disturbing the peace, domestic battery abuse and public intoxication, after law enforcement agents were flagged down by onlookers who noticed Cage grab his wife’s upper arm while appearing under the influence. For this action, Cage was held in police custody until $11,000 bail was posted by his friend. Cage has been ordered to appear in court on May 31st.

Born on July 13, 1946 Cheech Marin is American comedian and actor who gained recognition as part of the comedy act Cheech & Chong, which wildly successful during the 1970s and early 80s. Story of Jon Bon Jovi Robbed:

On April 3, 2011 the New Jersey mansion of Jon Bon Jovi was robbed of approximately $100,000 worth of jewelry. The suspect, Nicholas Tracy, who is 21 years of age, robbed a series of homes before being captured by local law enforcement agents on April 14, 2011 after he tripped an alarm at Bon Jovi’s neighbor’s house. When the law enforcement agents arrived at the scene, they found Tracy hiding in the bathroom.

The Jon Bon Jovi robbery, which occurred on April 3rd, at the musician’s 15-acre estate (valued at roughly $22 million), occurred when the rock star was not home. The thief stole an abundance jewelry, which belonged to the rocker’s wife, Dorothea Bongiovi. The mansion, located in Middletown, NJ is just 30 miles south of New York City. Before being taken down by local police, Tracy had stolen roughly $500,000 worth of goods from the New Jersey mansions.

Following the robbery, Bon Jovi issued a statement to the police citing which items were stolen and how upset he was over the fact that his wife’s belongings were victimized by a shameful crook. Thankfully for the star, Nicholas got greedy and attempted to rob a number of houses in Jon Bon Jovi’s neighborhood. During these subsequent attempts, the robber got sloppy and accidentally triggered an alarm, which immediately notified local police that a break-in was occurring. Nicholas, who was immediately arrested at the scene, was forced to turn over all of the items he stole—it is unclear whether the rocker recovered all of the stolen jewelry.

Nicholas Tracy is currently being held in the Monmouth County Jail on $100,000 bail. The 21-year old faces felony burglary charges and is likely to go to prison for his role in the Jon Bon Jovi robbery as well as the other robberies he undertook in the upper-class neighborhood.

Actor Charlie Sheen and his ex-wife appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on April 19th, 2011 to face off in a custody battle over Max and Bob. Sheen and his attorney planned to argue that Mueller has fallen victim to a drug relapse and is unfit to care for their children. Mueller’s mother, who is currently caring for the troubled couple’s children, has stated that Sheen is clearly unfit to care for anyone, including himself. TMZ, popular gossip media outlet, has reported that Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, has offered to let the boys live with her until things are stable in Sheen’s and Mueller’s life.

The custody case, which is still pending, is assumed to be a heated controversy between the mercurial couple. Sheen is expected to request full custody of the twins, while claiming that Brooke Mueller, considering her recent relapse, is unfit to raise the couple’s children. In response, Brooke Mueller is expected to also claim full custody, as a result of her ex-husband’s, expletive-filled rants, his firing from the hit television show Two and a Half Men, and his absurd behavior are blatant red flags that would impede him from properly raising children.

Who was Sharon Tate?

Born on January 24 of 1943, Sharon Tate was an American film actress who began her career in the early 60s where she played minor television roles. Tate, who was known for her spunky personality and beauty, received positive reviews for her comedic performances. Tate quickly grasped the attention of movie-goers and critics alike; she was hailed as Hollywood’s promising stars and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her lead role in Valley of the Dolls. In addition to her promising acting career, Tate also appeared regularly in various fashion magazines as a model and cover girl.

Tate married film director Roman Polanski in 1968; she was eight and a half months pregnant when she was savagely murdered in her home by followers of Charles Manson’s psychotic ideology.

The Murder of Sharon Tate:

On August 8, 1969 Sharon Tate was just two weeks from giving birth to her and Roman’s first child. That afternoon, Tate entertained two friends—actresses Barbara Lewis and Joanna Pettet–for lunch at her home. During the lunch, Tate confided in her friends over her disappointment at Polenski’s delay in returning from London, where he was filming a movie.

On the evening of August 8, 1969 Tate, along with three friends (including the heir to the Folger fortune) went for dinner and returned to Tate’s home at roughly 10:30 p.m. During the night, they were brutally murdered by members of Charles Manson’s clan, “The Family”. The next day, Tate’s body—along her friends—was discovered by Tate’s housekeeper. When police arrived on scene, they immediately discovered the body of a young man, identified as Steven Parent, shot to death in his car, which was in Tate’s driveway. Inside the home, Tate’s body was found in the living room; she was connected to one of her friend’s corpse by a long rope which was tied around the victim’s necks. Tate’s other friends, were discovered dead, by stab wounds, on the front lawn. Each victim, with the exception of Parent, died from multiple stab wounds. The coroner’s report for Tate revealed that the actress had been stabbed sixteen times and that five of the wounds would have acted as singularly fatal blows. The murders devastated not
only Polanski and Tate’s family, but the general population as well.

In November 1969, Susan Atkins, while in prison for grand theft auto, boasted to an inmate regarding her role in the murder of Sharon Tate. This ultimately led to the indictment of the “Family” and the leader, Charles Manson. The Los Angeles County District Attorney made a deal with Atkins that guaranteed her refrainment from the death penalty for the exchange of her grand jury and trial testimony.
